Marktstand Krais

Description

Marktstand Krais is a web application built and coded entirely from scratch for a self-employed market vendor who supplies her products to various restaurants and shops. The site combines a showcase of her offering with a digital ordering system for her customers.

Through their own login, customers can place, edit and manage orders. In a separate admin area, incoming orders can be collected, confirmed and organized in a structured way. This bundles recurring workflows and makes planning orders and deliveries easier.

The project was fully conceived, designed and coded together by the two of us - from UX and interface design through frontend and backend to the database structure. Technically, the application was built with Astro and Solid in Visual Studio Code. Particularly formative was working through more complex data structures and figuring out how to meaningfully connect user roles, content and ordering processes on a technical level.
